Staff Environmental Engineer

Accuracy Environmental primarily works on hazardous waste and materials, spill prevention, stormwater, air quality permits and plans including working with regulatory agencies during the permitting process.
Accuracy Environmental is an environmental consulting firm seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team full-time. This individual will work lead and project manage multiple projects for multiple clients regarding environmental permitting across different sectors including major oil and transportation companies.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare complete and accurate compliance plans, permits, and reports for air quality, hazardous waste, spill prevention, storm water, wastewater, and health and safety that meet federal standards, as well as any applicable, local, state, or federal regulatory requirements
  • Provide regulatory interpretations for clients
  • Investigate and respond to notices of violations
  • Assist in ensuring clients meet all federal, state, and local regulations by developing compliance plans
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies, and clients during field visits.
  • Perform multiple tasks within scope/budget/schedule expectations and provide quality project deliverables
  • Build on and develop a strong knowledge base related to environmental and health and safety programs new/existing oil and gas, aerospace, chemical manufacturing, and transportation clients
  • Build and develop knowledge and familiarity with environmental regulations and policies
  • Impact relationships positively with government agencies, clients, and sub-contractors

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in Air Quality Compliance, Stormwater Permitting, Waste Management Compliance, or Environmental Health & Safety Consulting
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, science, or related degree.
  • PE license is considered an added value to the firm
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently
  • Ability to work efficiently and within scope budget
  • Strong communication skills including both verbal and written
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills including attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies, private-sector industrial companies, and clients
  • Ability to work full-time, minimum 40 hours a week
